Rezvanshahr

This county is bounded from north to Talesh County and from south to Masal County. It is bounded to Ardebil province westwards and the counties of Anzali and Somesara eastwards. Rezvanshahr County covers an area of 783.5 sq. km. regarding geomorphology this county is divided into two regions of mountains and plains.  Almost all the rivers in the region slide down from the mountains to the plains and the most important of these rivers is Dinachal, Shafaroud and Chakroud. Rezvanshahr County was separated from Talesh County in 1376 and has two districts called central and Paresar, four agglomerations called Dinachal, Ardeh, Khoushabar and Gildoulab. Rezvanshahr has 110 villages 12 of which are vacant. The capital of this County is the township of Rezvanshahr. The common languages in this county are Taleshi and Gilaki. Taleshi is spoken in the mountainous areas and mostly by the Sunni people, but Gilaki is mostly used by the Shiite people who mostly live in plains. The population of this county, according to the survey of 1385 is 64574. The economy of the county is dependent on agricultural and farming. The main crops are rice, wheat and corn, which are planted traditionally and semi-traditionally. Some of the other common activities in the region are gardening, reproduction of medical and decorative plants, farming warm and cold water and caviar fish. Honeybee farming, silkworm farming and growing tobacco are also of the major activities. When industry is concerned the Wood and Paper Company of Iran “Chouka” can be mentioned. Chouka is the most important wood company in the middle-east.
