Souvenirs of Guilan Province

Buying souvenir as a commemoration is travel's end point and often is with pleasure.

 Guilan land of four seasons that has the river, mountain, plain, forest and the sea and its land, air and sea blessings is great and it has a variety of souvenirs. Agricultural and animal products and various birds, fishes, fruits and vegetables, pickles and sweets, handicrafts of silk and wood and straw,…  of Guilan is a travel souvenir.

Guilan souvenir:

Gilan souvenirs can be divided into two general categories: foods and handicrafts

Gilan souvenirs especially rural handicrafts is a kind of economic activity that its severe combined with traditions, habits , builders attitude and  also tangible influence of the geographical environment in that industry, is caused distinguish it from other products .

The most important and best souvenirs of Guilan are: White fish, Tea, Cookie, Peanuts, olive, Rice and some kind of handicrafts which tourists can use as souvenirs of that green land.

In different regions of Guilan and regarding to the culture of each region, special handicrafts are common. for example: pottery in Amlash and the rural of shaft which is called Jirdeh, Shawl weaving which is woven by Talesh and Galesh people.

Chamoush or charogh sewing is common in Masouleh, also Mat and Bamboo weaving, Carpet and Kilim weaving and Embroidery is common in different regions of province.

Tourists are interested in wooden handicrafts of Guilan which one of the beautiful wooden crafts is a special fund called Boulaki .Other souvenir of Guilan can be mentioned as muffins of Lahijan and Fouman, olive of Roudbar, Rice of Astaneh ashrafiyeh and Tea.
